Self Portrait: Its a Girl!

Here is my ninth image for the self portrait zombie series called It’s a Girl! This one took so much prep work and prop search, and I am so happy how everything came together! Big thanks to my wonderful model friends for spending their whole day to be apart of my project!  Other images in my zombie series are Make a Wish, Home Cookin’, Take Time To Smell The Roses, Alone Time, Pancake Breakfast, Time for Tea, House of Horror Hair, and Scared of the Dark.

Self Portrait: Make a Wish

The Seventh Image in my Self Portrait Zombie Series “Make a Wish” was so much fun to create! This image is a composite of two separate images.

America: Apex, North Carolina Fourth of July Parade

This image was taken for my “America” themed assignment in my Small Format Photography class, and was shot during the Olde Fashioned Fourth of July parade on Salem Street in Downtown Apex, North Carolina. When I had originally set out to look for my “America” image, I wasn’t sure of the direction I wanted to take it, since there are so many ways through imagery to summarize America. The parade was full of big smiles and laughing children, so this little girl naturally stood out to me. Her “don’t mess with me” expression, alongside her laid back body position, summed up “America” for me.
